thinking beyond the street photographic research that I develop mostly, I started to decoup the images of the city in blocks of colors or symbols, as if they were abstract paintings. the idea was to reduce the images in a few ways. I reused instant archival films, which could be bad exposed, and also shot new images, using color gelatines.
the base for the street or sidewalk, a new shape for a building or wall, another for construction details, the top of the building or the sky. together, it composes a new geometry, reduced in details.
the variations explore different perspectives of the landscape, facing the building, from top to bottom, seeing a ceiling or a side wall, inviting the viewer to interpret the final image as he wants.

pensando para além da pesquisa fotográfica de rua que desenvolvo majoritariamente, comecei a decupar as imagens da cidade em blocos de cores ou símbolos, como se fossem pinturas abstratas. a ideia era reduzir as imagens em poucas formas. reutilizei filmes instantâneos de arquivo, que poderiam estar mal expostos, e também fotografei novas imagens, usando gelatinas de cores.
a base para a rua ou calçada, uma nova forma para um edifício ou parede, outra para detalhes da construção, o topo do edifício ou o céu. juntas, compõe uma nova geometria, reduzida de detalhes.
as variações exploram diferentes perspectivas da paisagem, de frente para o pré- dio, de cima pra baixo, enxergando um teto ou uma parede lateral, convidando o expectador a interpretar a imagem final como ele quiser.
